Lowest sound levels

The coordinated interaction of the smooth-running EC tangential fan and high-performance copper-aluminum convector ensures optimal indoor air quality. This means high heat output with low sound levels at the same time.

For rooms with increased heat load

The Katherm QK is specially designed for rooms with floor-to-ceiling window areas and correspondingly higher room heating loads. The integrated EC tangential fans enable efficient heat output even in low temperature operation and ensure rapid warm-up at a low noise level.

The variety of variants and outputs is extensive. Two trench widths are available.

Custom-made to measure

For every building architecture with individual geometries, custom-made solutions are possible. This applies to the trench and the grille.

Wide range of variants

To suit the installation situation, each trench is complemented by the matching grille and matching frame edge. Easily removable end pieces make it possible to create continuous trench runs adapted to the facade.

Short installation time

The valve connection enables a quick and easy installation of the Katherm QK on site. In addition, height adjustment screws and walk-on height adjustment feet are supplied as standard to further reduce installation time and therefore costs.

Protection during installation and construction

Our Katherm trench technology products are carefully packed in cardboard packaging for transport. The grille edge trim profiles are protected against damage by green plastic profiles. A sustainable paper cover prevents dust and dirt from entering.

As the units are often installed in the building at an early construction stage, the grille can be replaced at the factory with a wooden installation cover for their protection for an additional charge. The grilles are then supplied separately packed.

Technical features

Uniform airflow

  • The fans installed in the Katherm QK ensure a uniform airflow through the convector.
  • This ensures a directed air outlet from the trench.

Introduction of supply air

  • Primary air or fresh air is introduced into the rooms via special supply air ducts.
  • The Katherm supply air duct ZL is available for all Katherm trench technology.
  • This is an underfloor duct that can be attached to the Katherm units in the respective version.

Heating in low-temperature and heat pump operation

  • The Katherm QK is suitable for use with a heat pump or another low temperature system.
  • Thanks to fan support, especially at low system temperatures (low temperature), you quickly achieve 3-4 times the output compared with conventional radiators.
  • This helps reduce your energy demand and heating costs and ultimately, of course, greenhouse gas emissions as well.

Life cycle assessment data (EPDs)

We assess the environmental impact of our products across their entire life cycle („cradle to cradle“) and publish the results transparently in our Environmental Product Declarations (EPD). These EPDs can be easily integrated into leading building certification systems such as DGNB, BREEAM or LEED and are available in the download section.
